What type of metal is used?Implants are made of titanium alloys and each implant company has its own proprietary blend.
How much does the implant and crown cost? This is dependent on many factors. If bone grafting or gum grafting is necessary, this can increase the cost of your treatment. Also, the type of dental insurance you may or may not have can affect the overall cost. In order to get an exact cost for your dental implant, a consultation with our office is recommended. Also, your referring dentist will give you the cost of your final restoration on the implant which includes the abutment and crown.
Can I use my temporary tooth as the final crown? No. The temporary is typically made from acrylic which is porous and will break down and trap bacteria over time. We do not recommend the use of temporaries for more than 4-6 months as infections and inflammation can occur if the temporary is not removed and a final crown fabricated.
Is the crown cost included in my estimate from the Ueno Center Dental Specialists? No, your crown cost will be given to you by your referring dentist. The estimate that is given to you by the Ueno Center Dental Specialists will include everything necessary to ensure the implant and the foundation of the implant are solid.
